October 17, 2010

Today is the first day of  the Skunkcroft blog. We, the discombobulated denizens of this eldritch location in the Ragged Mountains of Neslon County Virgina, in the house built by the poet and curmudgeon in residence, are in the midst of preparations for the 4th Annual Hookworm Film Festival. At least that is somebody's ideal and/or fantasty . . . otherwise why would it be mentioned here?
So what do these preparations involve? If you know, please share this information with us. Actually today some cleaning was accomplished, and some harvesting of the eponymous herb, along with other gardening tasks, in particular planting a lemon thyme and a chocolate mint (the latter may not survive because it had gotten dried out).
For the first time on the dinner menu this evening, Rainbow Chard. Hope to grow this in the Skunkcroft garden.
Last night we had a viewing of the original Dawn of the Dead and of DVRd  televised work by past (and future, we hope!) Hookworm Film Festival attendees.
